Our motion plastics are products from the energy chain, cable, plain bearing, linear technology, bar stock, 3D printing, Low Cost Automation, and intelligent sensor areas.
Movement is omnipresent. We see this every day when we are allowed to accompany our customers in exciting projects. Today, we serve 188,000 companies from over 80 countries around the world. For more than 50 different industries, such as the automotive or packaging industry, rail and agricultural technology, machine tool construction or the renewable energy sector, we work together to find the best solution for every application.

igus motion plastics products are made in Germany, but of course we don't have 188,000 customers in Germany alone. We are represented in over 80 countries and have factories in 15 of them; there are 30 igus subsidiaries and many other sales partners.
Our solar system is at the heart of our culture. No, we're not talking about the planetary system here. The igus solar system is an organisational chart that reflects our thoughts and actions. In the middle is the customer, who is as important to us as the sun is to the earth, which provides light, heat and energy — just as the customer gives us wishes, incentives, money. Our colleagues and teams live and create around the customer, who take up their requirements and find the right solutions to their problems, often innovations. The success of our people then comes from the success of our customers. As a company, it is our job to provide our colleagues with the means and atmosphere in which they enjoy working.

Research in an area of 3,800m2, an open ear for customer ideas, and annual innovation presentations at our in-house trade show and at many trade shows worldwide ... all of this is what innovation means to us. We want to work with our customers to find new solutions more quickly. We keep an eye not only on the current problems, but also on the challenges of the future. Digitalization, for example, pervades all igus structures and is closely intertwined with innovation.
Our motion plastics are not antithetical to a sustainable way of life. High-performance plastics can contribute to resource conservation and environmental protection during their production and use and at the end of their service life. For years, we have had a special focus on two goals in this area: CO2 neutrality and zero plastic waste – the direct influence on the climate and the recyclability of our products.
