This 3D printer is for concrete parts, which can cost-effectively create modularly built products – for example the fishing boat “Gozzo”. Cheap and thin metal meshes are arranged in layers and coated with a mixture of cement, water and sand. The formability makes a quick erection of the structure possible. This model is furthermore resistant, elastic, ductile, isotropic, practically homogenous, lightweight, maintenance-free and above all outstandingly cost-effective.
 
The required 3D printer can be disassembled, and boats up to an entire length of 10m can be manufactured with it. It can be locally assembled and used right away, which makes it excellent for application in developing countries. Products from igus® have been installed in several places. They are light, resistant, and lubrication- and maintenance-free.
