  • Success for the customer:  Here, the original threaded rod and metal nut was replaced by an igus lead screw with plain bearing flange nut. This device is now maintenance-free and the user cannot get dirty through the greasy threaded rod. In addition, the substitution led to significant cost savings.

The developers of 3B Scientific in Klingenthal were able to achieve an improvement in product quality through the igus construction kit not only in the birth simulator.
 
A teaching device in the science programme was also optimised. With the "Boyle-Mariotte device" physics teachers demonstrate the relationship between pressure and volume of a closed gas quantity at constant temperature.
